6 month photos - for real

So, until I can get all of the photos uploaded, here's a link to my facebook account, where you can view them. Blogger only let me upload 4. They're a cute 4, but you can find all of them on facebook. One day I'll figure all of this out. *Sigh*

Time Lost.....

Marc and I, as of last night, are all caught up with ABC's TV show Lost.

Sometime in May, only a few short weeks after Lydia was born, Marc's co-worker lent him Season 1 on DVD. So, on a rainy Saturday, when we didn't have much going on, besides taking care of a newborn who needed to be fed constantly, we began our Lost "journey". I think we had a Lost marathon that day, watching 7-8 episodes. We seriously watched it ALL day. After that we were hooked, and slowly proceeded through all 4 seasons. We watched most of season 3 and 4 on the internet, which surprisingly wasn't too bad, and actually kinda fun!

There aren't many TV shows, or movies we watch, but Lost was interesting to us, and we recommend it.

Why am I writing about this??? It's kind of a relief to be all caught up..... We stayed up late too many nights watching episodes. It was fun, but we're all done. We'll just have to wait until January now....

6 Month Appointment

We survived Lydia's 6 mo. appt. The doc said she's doing well, and is very healthy. She also survived 4 shots! Not exactly the most enjoyable thing for her, or us..... She is still at the 95% for weight, coming in at a whopping 18 lb 15 oz. But it turns out she also had a huge growth spurt and is now 27 1/4 in. up 1 1/2 inches from last month. So her height is at 95% too! It cracks me up, because Marc and I aren't exactly tall! I think she's just doing her growing now, so she doesn't have to do it later! We're doing her 6 month photos with Rich and Leann tonight, so be on the lookout for some fun new pics!

Bumblebee!

A little overdue, considering Halloween was a month ago now, almost. But we did dress Lydia up as a bumblebee! She was a pretty cute bumblebee!

I wish I was better at this BLOG thing. By that I mean more consistent. We just got back from FL, and were shocked to encounter the cold here in Chicago! We miss the sunny warmth of Florida! It was a great trip, filled with great memories. Lydia got to go swimming for the first time, and really enjoyed it! Marc and I got to go parasailing, which was really enjoyable for me, since last year I was pregnant and could not go. We saw a bunch of stingrays from the air, and even a sea turtle. And although I would say I am somewhat afraid of heights, I didn't really get that scared. It probably helped that Marc and I did it together.

Tonight it Lydia's 6 month appt. She has been in the 95-97% for weight for the last 4 months, and it will be interesting to see where she's at now, since her appetite has not changed much! She's our sturdy little pumpkin!

Lydia had peas for the first time today. I don't think she liked the intitial taste. But I eventually got a smile out of her. As you can see the peas were all over the place. We've got to start with the veggies first, otherwise she'll never eat em'!

Lydia Laughing

It takes a lot of work, but is so worth when we can get Lydia to laugh.

Quick update and link to photos.

Life has been crazy, and I have neglected updating the blog!!! I will say Lydia had her first smile on Sunday, and has been smiling a lot since! It is one of the coolest things ever! Lydia is really growing, and I'm willing to bet is about 11 lbs already. She's almost out of her 0-3 month clothes. SAD. I enjoy every moment I get to spend with her and try to cherish and savor it all, because she's gonna grow up so fast! She is truly a blessing, and a gift from God!

She has been sleeping 7-8 hours the last few nights, and it has been nice for Marc and I to get some good rest and sleep. During the day, she's awake more often than before, and definitely has Marc's appetite!

She is looking more like me each day. Originally we thought she'd look like Marc, but as she gets bigger and older, it's safe to say she looks more like mommy.

We have been taking TONS of pictures, so we can capture it all. Here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=115438&l=0c2e8&id=637750135

I will try to write more later.

Our little cutie!

This is my favorite pic!

Finally!

Lydia Clare Revoredo was born on May 12, 2008 at 3:44 pm. It was one whirlwind of a day! I went in for a doctor's appt at 10:10. They gave me a non-stress test and then checked me like normal. Turns out I was 6 cm dilated! So the doctor sent me straight to the hospital in a wheelchair(the doctor's office is connected to the hospital). They called Marc at work, and he got on his way to the hospital. Between 11 and 12 I filled out paperwork, and they got me situated int he hospital bed. Marc got there at 12. The doctor broke my water at 12:30, to get things moving. Then I got an epidural at 1:30. I quickly dilated to 10 cm, and at 3:00 pm, was ready to push. After pushing for about 45 minutes. Lydia was born at 3:44 pm. It was all so quick! I stayed at the hospital until Wednesday afternoon. Marc stayed the nights with me, which was so nice... We've been home for a few days now, and are enjoying every minute of it, despite the little sleep I am getting! Here is a link with pictures. We have taken so many, it's much easier to post this link than indvidually post all the pics.

OVERDUE BABY?

So tomorrow is my official due date. I'm assuming I will go past it. All along, I wishfully thought I would go early, but I guess I'll just fall into the majority of most first time moms, who go past their due date.

We had another ultrasound and doctor appt today. In light of our last ultrasound which was more than 2 weeks ago, we thought the baby would be measuring 9 1/2 pounds! At our last one she measured 8 1/2 pounds, so that is why. HOWEVER, today, she only measured 8 lb. 5 oz. Craziness! I am relieved, but know these things are not completely accurate. They said I have a lot of fluid, which is why I look so big. The doctor thinks the baby's weight has plateaued for now.

The plan is, if the baby hasn't arrived by Monday, to have another doc appt on Monday, and then schedule an induction for next week. I am quite alright with this. I'm hoping the ultrasound today was accurate! We will find out very soon!

Hopefully my next post will be a good one, announcing the birth of our little girl and posting some pics.

OH BABY!

So things are looking good so far. We had a doctor appt today. Our little girl is a little bit bigger than we had anticipated (they're estimating at least 6 pounds!), but she's healthy and chubby, so that's good! She will be a bigger baby. I'm hoping and praying she comes a few weeks early, but ultimately have no real control over that, so am trying to be content. It's encouraging to know many others have delivered large babies. :)
