Time off, time together!

Whew! We've been busy! We've been enjoying Marc's time off by going here, there and everywhere! So far we've been to the Indiana Dunes, Botanical Gardens, Rockford, the city, and now we're in WI for a few days. It's been nice to have a lot of time together. We've also been able to see a lot of family, which has been great. Here are pics from some of our outings/visits.

Strawberry Fest

We went to Strawberry Fest, and although we didn't eat any strawberries, we enjoyed our time there. Lydia even got to dance with the Coyote and Moose from Timber Lodge! Here are some pics from our time there: The first pic of Marc and I since I was pregnant with Joey. And last but not least, the dancing. :)

A Day Full of Outside Fun

Today we spent a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather!
During the day we went with Grandma Woerner, Aunt Nicole, and Aunt Lisa to the Botanic Gardens. Lydia loved all the flowers, water, and leaves! Hopefully we can go back again sometime this summer and get to see some more of the exhibits. I have no pictures to share, since I left my camera in the car. :(

Then tonight we enjoyed a brass band concert in downtown Arlington Heights. It was kind of like Ravinia, on a much smaller scale. Since this was a last minute decision we had to get dinner on the way, which happened to be McDonalds. Notice Lydia enjoying some french fries with her movie star sunglasses. The best part about the concert was it was FREE! We will be going back for more of their Thursday and Friday night concerts!

Counting Down....

When something big is going happen (wedding, birth of a child, vacation, etc.), you start counting down the days as it gets close, at least I do!

We have nothing huge that is going to happen soon, BUT Marc does start 2 weeks of vacation a week from today - woo hoo! We haven't had much time together as family to just "be" and relax since Joey's been born, due to Marc working many hours to prepare for a product release this Friday. He has been working very hard, and still making an effort to make time for us when he can. We are thankful for his job, as it allows to him to provide for us, and we are very thankful he gets some time off to rejuvenate and hang out with us(mommy doesn't mind an extra set of hands either!).

Hopefully pictures will be coming soon of some of things we did during daddy's time off!

Happy Father's Day!

Dads play a special role in our lives, and today is a day to celebrate them!

Happy Father's Day to my dad who has always been there for me, and been a great example to me, and is now a great grandpa as well.

Happy Father's Day to Marc who is a great daddy to our kiddos. He's definitely the "funner" one of the two of us, and Lydia and Joey are blessed to have him as a father and I am blessed to be his wife.

And of course Happy Father's Day to Marc's dad, Marco and Marc's stepdad, Kurt. Thank you for all you do for us, and the love you show us.

And to my grandpa, Happy Father's Day!

You all mean so much to us! Hope you know what a blessing you are to us!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

2 Months

Now that I've blogged 2 days in a row, I can't help myself! Here I am again, and I have a good reason to blog..... Joey is 2 months old today!

Here's what we know so far about Joey:
He has a healthy appetite!
He is more serious than his sister.
He has 2 cute dimples, one on each side. :)
He loves to be held AND looked at.
He isn't so keen on his daytime naps yet, though has slept through the night a handful of times.
He is loved so much by his mom and dad, and big sister, not to mention all of his grandmas, grandpas, and aunts and uncles!

He's come a long way in these short 2 months!

Dancing Lydia

Lydia loves to move and dance! When I turn some music on, a big smile comes across her face and she has to move. She'll dance anywhere.....

In the kitchen....

in the living room..... and this is her after having danced in the rain! We didn't have the camera outside to catch it, but you get the idea. :)
